There is a high probability that wide receiver, Antonio Brown will not be a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers next season.

In the 2018-19 season, Brown was involved in some drama with other teammates, and it became apparent that he was no longer happy in Pittsburgh. There are many speculations about where Brown will end up, but it seems that the Indianapolis Colts could be an excellent fit for his desired “new beginning.”

The Colts took everyone by surprise last season, as they finished with an overall record of 10-6. In an effort to keep the momentum rolling, adding another wide receiver to the team’s roster might be exactly what the organization needs.

The combination of T.Y. Hilton and Brown would create one of the most dominant receiving cores in the NFL. Not only would the receiving presence of Hilton and Brown make the Colts unstoppable, but it could provide more opportunities for tight ends Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle down the field.

Quarterback Andrew Luck seemed to be on the same page as Ebron, connecting for 13 touchdowns last season. In a bounce-back season for Hilton, Luck managed to find the top wideout for 1,270 yards for six touchdowns.

Although the combination of Hilton and Ebron provided plenty of options for Luck, it was apparent that the team lacked outside help. Brown, for the Steelers, saw a career-high 15 touchdowns and was featured on the cover of the Madden NFL 19 video game.

With Luck appearing to be firing on all cylinders, Brown’s desire to become the league’s best receiver could bode well for the deadly duo.

All these factors seem like a logical reason for the Colts to make a trade offer for Brown, but will general manager Chris Ballard and the rest of the organization agree? It is hard to say. Pittsburgh had several issues with Brown this season that may make the Colts slightly worried about bringing him into the organization.

Additionally, Brown will come with a hefty price tag, which brings up salary cap implications that the organization will have to contemplate. Ebron, as well as, kicker Adam Vinatieri will be eligible for free agency negotiations following next season, which will be a major consideration moving forward.

The organization has performed exceptionally well over the past two seasons at managing its assets, therefore a price within reason is obtainable.

Indianapolis is a team that is looking to take their team to new heights and find the difference maker who will help them reach the next level. The question is, will it be Antonio Brown?

There are many factors that the organization will have to consider to ensure they are getting a player who will fit in and hold themselves accountable when things get tough. Be sure to monitor Brown closely in the upcoming weeks as he will be a popular conversation topic.
